Welcome

Welcome to Lingotise. We are passionate about the teaching of English as a Second Language (EAL) and have spent years looking at ways to aid EAL learning. This website focuses on the influence that drama activities, techniques and games can have in the second language classroom.

What we offer

We offer a range of drama based activities that are proven to facilitate communication and support the learning of English as a Second Language. These activities include Scripts, Games, Role Play Activities, Songs and much more! From September 2014 we will also be offering drama workshops for schools aimed specifically for EAL students.

Why drama?

Learning a new language can be a frustrating experience – drama takes pupils away from textbooks and desks, putting them in real life contexts where they can learn a language in a safe and comforting atmosphere. Drama activities are much more useful than phrase books – they allow pupils to explore real life situations in a safe and comforting atmosphere.

Coming soon

There are a number of new things coming soon to Lingotise… September 2014 – Book a Drama Workshop; November 2014 – Starter packs (props/masks/scripts); January 2015 – More FREE resources; April 2015 – Forum Launch

Our popular workshops

We are now offering the opportunity to book a workshop, where a fully qualified EAL facilitator will come in to school to deliver a drama workshop designed to enhance second language learning. The choices are:

1 hour (£65)
Half-day (£125)
Full Day (£199)

We also have a range of offers for multiple bookings - Please Contact Us to find out more.

The workshops are designed to be as fun, engaging and beneficial to the student's language development as possible. They incorporate all areas of the resources we have available - scripts and role-plays, for example, in an action-packed session. The workshops can accommodate up to 30 pupils, at any age and ability, and we are more than happy to design the workshops around any specific requirements such as vocabulary development, for instance. Visit the Testimonials page to see the feedback we have had from the sessions from parents, pupils and teachers.
